Achievements

For more than three decades, PM’s clients have consistently experienced membership and net income growth in excess of expectations. 

Upon request, we can furnish to principals within the 60 Plus Association membership and financial information to illustrate the consistency and quality of our work.  Information made available would be provided with the express permission of our clients.

The following anecdotes will provide some measure of our abilities.

In December of 2001, PM Consulting carried out the most successful mailing in history for a 25-year-old organization. 

For one of the nation’s largest and oldest membership organizations, we have increased overall revenues, membership, renewal rates, and special contribution revenue to record highs. 

For a national literary organization, we have increased membership by 540% since 1992, and increased special contribution revenue by over 400% during the same period. 

In September of 1996, a client requested that PM produce $8 million in additional revenue by the end of that year, over and above all previous goals and projections.  We accepted the challenge, and the direct marketing program we designed, combining high-dollar and low-dollar giving, actually produced $15.5 million, almost twice what the client had requested.

For one of the nation’s largest PAC’s, we raised more than $14 million in the 1999-2000 election cycle, at a cost of less than 22 cents on the dollar.  Under PM’s stewardship, the number of active donors to this PAC has grown from approximately 35,000 to over 350,000.

As the principle creative agency for one of the national party committees, we conducted a fundraising program for that committee which raised more net money through direct mail than any other election cycle in history.

We combined a fundraising program with a public relations campaign which resulted in a political book selling 875,000 copies and rising to #11 on the New York Times Bestseller List.

We have been involved in fundraising efforts for over 200 U.S. Senate and House candidates.  During the Reagan presidency, all of the fundraising dinners attended by the President that raised more than $1 million for U.S. Senate and House candidates were managed by PM Consulting.

O’Leary, PM has raised over $2 billion for our non-profit clients.  We serve a variety of national membership and fundraising organizations and, in the year 2005, PM raised over $160 million for our clients through direct mail and other fundraising efforts.

Several of the direct mail techniques which are now commonly used within the industry were originated by PM Consulting.  Numerous PM donor acquisition packages have been successful enough to mail over 10 million pieces at a profit, and our work has been cited in industry publications such as Direct, Campaigns and Elections and Who’s Mailing What

In addition to our direct mail expertise, our experience includes all communications media, including television, video, radio, print and Internet.  While not all of these capabilities bear directly on the needs of every client, they provide us with the ability to integrate our direct marketing programs into overall client campaign strategies and goals.
